Genasun's boost controllers enable system configurations not otherwise possible. With the GVB24-6, for instance, customers have been able to use a 12V nominal solar panel with a 24V battery system, saving on system cost and complexity. Genasun's boost controllers are ideally suited for adding solar power to small EV's such as golf carts, electric UTVs, and electric bicycles and trikes. Genasun's boost controllers will ensure correct charging even if the solar panel voltage is above the battery voltage. Adding to system flexibility, the GVB line of charge controllers will also charge from DC sources. For instance, a 48V golf cart can be charged from a 12V car battery system. All of our charge controllers may be customized for lithium batteries for unbeatable system performance.
These controllers connect between your solar panel and batteries like any charge controller, but sophisticated electronics allow the controller to operate the solar panel at its most efficient voltage, resulting in significant gains in power.
